A new display style font for Malayalam, RIT Lekha, was released on April 8, 2025. This font won an encouragement prize in the Open Font Design Competition 2025 organised by RIT in collaboration with KaChaTaThaPa and Sayahna Foundations, and was designed by Radhakishnan VN & Aswathy J of Kottayam.
